Love is in the Air

Did you know that February 14th is national singles awareness day, or the day single people are dreading the most. Those who have been struck by cupid are getting ready for a big day of romance, otherwise known as Valentines Day. In 1537, England's King Henry VII officially declared February 14th the holiday of  St. Valentines Day. Flash forward to the late 1800's and Richard Cadbury produced the first box of chocolates for Valentines Day. Currently, 35 million boxes of chocolate are expected to sell for Valentines Day. Roses, as I'm sure you know are also popular on Valentines Day, 189 stems of roses will be sold on Valentines Day. Red Roses being the most common, Red Roses are considered the flower of love because the color red stands for strong romantic feelings. The red rose was also the favorite flower of Venus, the Roman Goddess of love. 73% of people who buy flowers for Valentines Day are men, while only 27% are Women. 15% of Women send Flowers to themselves on Valentines Day. It's not always about showing your significant other how special they are, sources say that 3% of pet owners will give their pet a Valentine present. These are just a few fun facts to digest. Whatever your February 14th brings, We wish you the best.
